Making Food Fun (or come on, kiddo, just one more bite!)

You know how sometimes your child just will not eat the nutritious food you put in front of them? Well, here's what I tried this week, and I must say it worked like a charm! If it weren't for the fact that I made 'hair' out of Cheetos, 'ears' out of chicken McNuggets, and a 'nose' out of sausage (oh, and don't forget that cottage cheese mouth) Kiddo wouldn't have had anything to eat other than a banana yesterday. (I think he's on some weird health kick- they've been spouting out the glory of fruit at school again, as if fruit's gonna make him grow big and strong. It's just full of sugar.) He ate almost this whole plate- left the cucumbers (surprise, surprise) and carrots, but ate everything else, including the two slices of mozzarella cheese under the eyes. Yeah, calcium!!!! Yeah, protein!!!! Can't get that from no banana.

Here's a new product your little ones might enjoy: chocolate chip flavored pancakes and sausage on a stick.

Mmm! Tasty and portable!

I would like to point out that this meal is appalingly low in artificial sugar. What kind of mother are you? Fat and protein do not a well balanced meal make! Where's the high fructose corn syrup?????
